Chinese Language School

Welcome

CCEA Chinese Language School in Skokie, IL was founded by a group of Chinese families in northern Chicago in 1968. We teach traditional Chinese characters, and we have language and culture classes for all ages.

Notice

For the 2024-2025 school year, the Beginner class, 1st grade, 2nd grade, Intermediate I,
and cultural classes will be in-person. All other classes will still be online.

The in-person classes will be held at the same location as last year. The address is:

Evangelical Trinity Church in Metro Chicago

9800 Crawford Ave, Skokie, IL 60076.​

Mail-in registrations are accepted from 8/1/2024-8/24/2024. In-person registration
will be held from 1 to 4 pm, Saturday, 8/31/2024 at the school. The first day of
school for the 2024~2025 school year is 9/7/2024.

Textbook Pickup and Chinese Cultural Demonstration and Hands on session

Place: CCEA Chinese Language School at 9800 Crawford, Skokie, IL 60076

Date: August 31, 2024

 

  • Book Pickup - 1 - 4 pm

  • Diabolo (Chinese Yo-Yo) Demonstration /hands on class --- FREE

  • Starting time: 2 pm (duration ~ 1 Hour)

  • Here is a Self-Introduction from the Diabolo teacher, Mr. Albert Song:

    • I started practicing diabolo in the third grade in Taiwan. I was an after-school diabolo club teacher and team coach in Taiwan for five years. I also taught diabolo classes at various sports centers in Taipei for a long time. My proud personal achievement is when my team and I won the championship at the Diabolo Category in the 2016 National Sports Games. I am passionate about inspiring students' potential and enthusiasm through teaching, and I am honored to have the opportunity to promote our Chinese Ethnic Culture overseas.​
